Advising at the University of Freiburg

Discussing your personal choice of study programme with an independent advisor can be very helpful and provide clarity. Depending on your situation and concerns, there are various options for obtaining advice at the University of Freiburg.

Advising and Counselling (ZSB)

The Advising and Counselling Team at the Service Center Studium offers advice on:

  • study orientation
  • individual study interests and suitable subjects
  • all questions relation to studying
  • personal problems during your study
  • decision-making

Advising appointments are available in person, via video call or telephone and can be arranged via the website. There are also open office hours, which you can attend without an appointment.

Departmental academic advising

Each degree programme has an expert who can be contacted for detailed questions about the programme. The departmental academic advising is the right place to go, especially if you have questions about the content of the programme or queries about the course or structure of the programme.
