Major Governance

Introduction

Governance covers a broad range of social science disciplines and studies common life regulation, especially the negotiation and achievement of common goals, such as peace, prosperity, and happiness.

The Major Governance studies communities, states, and markets. You will see why and how people organize themselves in groups, societies and states, how states are organized and how they achieve common goals, how national and international economy functions. We look at such questions by paying attention to how social problems and institutions change over time. We insist on a strong linkage between the investigation of current practical political problems and sound theoretical and analytical framework. Finally, we focus on Europe.

Currently we offer more courses in political science, law, political theory, and international relations than in economics or sociology.
