Introduction

In the Major Life Sciences students explore questions about the structure and function of the human body, the interaction with surrounding environments, and also the relation of biological and technical systems while at the same time taking a broader perspective on this field of study and its role in society, politics, and culture.

To this end, we will consider the human being as a researching subject as well as the subject of research. The Major in Life Sciences provides a research-oriented foundation in the sciences and relates this foundation to challenging topics for the society of the 21st century.
