Task description – During week 1 you discuss the ecological, economical and silvicultural foundations of integrative approaches such as Close‑to‑nature forest management. The principles of CTNFM are applied to use natural processes rather than expensive management actions, for example natural regeneration instead of planting, and to maintain ecosystem integrity.
