Liberal Arts and Sciences reaches across academic fields and offers discipline-oriented academic training in one particular Major. It encourages students to critically reflect on science and knowledge and to become skilled communicators and creative shapers of their environment.

Tution:

Application & Admissions:

LAS is a selective program with an annual intake of about 80 students. Starting LAS is only possible in the winter semester. The application period is June 1 – July 15.

The LAS Majors provide an in-depth education in an interdisciplinary academic field. 
At the end of their first year and after having taken three Major Introductions, students choose one of the following Majors:
Culture and History
Governance
Life Sciences
Environmental and Sustainability Sciences
Core

Core courses are taken by all LAS students. The Core encompasses basic and advanced academic skills, reflections on knowledge and science, and the a curriculum on Responsibility and Leadership.
